Our project manager Simon Venneman presented a poster on the ORFeus network at the 2025 Gordon Research Conference on Decoding Microproteins in Barcelona, one of the most important meetings in the dark proteome community.

The response was fantastic. Conversations at the poster led to several new ideas for collaborations and training elements that we folded directly into the proposal. With thirteen of the fifteen ORFeus principal investigators at the same conference, it was also a great chance to align on the program’s direction before submitting for evaluation.

Barcelona in August turned out to be a good place to build a network!
